Vicente Soto " Sordera" has released his
new show, "Quixote Flamenco".
He sets himself the challenge of seeking out jondura in ‘Don Quixote’,
Cervantes' masterpiece. The show consists of a selection of eight texts,
adapted to cante flamenco by writer Pedro Atienza, and celebrates the
400-year book's anniversary.
The performance is scheduled for April 18th, 2005 at Albacete's Circus
Theater within the official program of acts for the 400-year anniversary,
sharing the bill with Sting and Ainhoa Arteta. It has moreover been taken
to stages in Plasencia, Alcalá de Henares (Cervantes' birthplace,
for two weeks), Almeria, Guadalajara, The Hague, Lisboa, Budapest, Vienna,
etc. |
